How Long Does Application Take?

The application of a full set of eyelash extensions typically takes between one and three hours, depending on how many extensions are desired or needed.

How Long Do They Last?

Eyelash extensions are considered “semi-permanent,” because they can remain in place for the natural cycle of the eyelash itself. A person’s natural eyelash typically falls out every 60 to 90 days and is naturally replaced with the growth of a new eyelash. Because of this natural cycle, it is usually necessary to get touch-ups to fill in every two to four weeks.

Does It Hurt?

The application procedure is painless and relaxing. Clients recline comfortably with their eyes closed during the entire procedure. Most clients fall asleep.

How Durable Are Xtreme Lashes?

The eyelash extensions are water resistant. Wearers may swim, exercise and shower worry free. Eyelash extensions do not require a lifestyle change for active people.

Pre-appointment Preparation

Prior to your appointment please remove all eye makeup or mascara.
If you wear contact lenses please bring case and solution to place your contacts in during the procedure. You can put your contacts back in when finished.
Note: Eyelash extensions are great for special occasions, daily wear, people of all ages, and for both men and women.

How Much Does It Cost?

The cost of a primary application varies, but usually is between $260 and $325. Touch-ups are usually done for a fraction of this, depending on how many lash extensions need to be added.

Who is NOT a good candidate for eyelash extensions?

Unhealthy eyes: pink eyes, Sty, Medication, Allergies, etc.
Unhealthy or sensitive skin around the eye area: Recent LASIK surgery.
Recently done Permanent Makeup, Eye-lift, Microdermabrasion, chemical peel, Retin-A, Accutane

    Eyelash Extensions Care and Maintenance

How do I take care of Eyelash extension?

Though Xtreme Lashes are easy to maintain, the first twenty-four hours are crucial for a strong bond. You should keep your lashes dry and avoid touching them. After twenty-four hours, care is fairly simple: avoid oil based products and be gentle with the lashes. They are resistant to water sweat and tears.
Your Lash Stylist should give you a detailed, easy care maintenance instruction manual following your procedure. In general, to maintain your new look and extend the life of your lashes, follow these simple guidelines: For the first 24 hours after application the lashes should not be exposed to water or steam to allow the adhesive time to fully bond. We recommend avoiding swimming and the spa for 48 hours after lash application for best results. Be gentle with your lashes; do not pull on the extensions or rub the eyes excessively. Ask your Stylist if she carries Xtreme Lashes Protective Coating. You can apply Protective Coating once or twice per week on your new lashes to preserve the look and extend the life of your Eyelash extension. Brush on from the base up to the tips. This coating also gives the lashes a wonderful shine, keep them in place and prevent tangling. We recommend getting a touch up every two to four weeks to maintain maximum fullness of your Lashes.

Can I swim, shower, exercise, or visit a spa while wearing Eyelash extension?

Can I apply mascara to Eyelash extension?

Indeed, one of the main advantages of Eyelash extension is that you don’t have to use mascara. Mascara can be applied between maintenance to maintain a look of fullness. You can purchase one of our specially formulated Xtreme Lashes mascaras from your local Lashes Stylist. DO NOT USE OIL-BASED OR WATER-PROOF MASCARA. Waterproof mascara along with any type of oil based mascara will dissolve the adhesive and cause your Eyelash extension to fall off.

How often should I get touch-ups?

A natural lash typically sheds every 60 to 90 days and is replaced with the growth of a new eyelash. Since Lashes are applied one by one to each individual hair, after 2-4 weeks, approximately 1/3 of the lashes will have cycled out. At this point, touch ups are required to replace the lashes that have completed their life cycle. Touch ups generally take a short time and are relatively inexpensive.

What do I do if I want them removed?

As the natural lashes cycle out and shed, Eyelash extension will shed with them. However, if necessary, Lashes can be professionally removed by a Lash Stylist using our specially formulated adhesive remover. The removal process normally takes approximately 15 to 30 minutes for a full set. Never try to remove eyelash extensions on your own. Damage can be caused by pulling the extensions off with the natural lash, removing the natural lash before it is ready to shed.
